The Service we offer includes all is necessary for creating or modifying a new Space. In both situations we establish the best approach to install the new architectural element according to the pre-existing style and design.

One example might be a client's wish to insert a fireplace, the beauty of the live flame, in a room or saloon without changing the existing building's tune and structure...

As a creative work, each design is born out of a individual idea tailored to the personal environment in which chimney piece will be installed.

Taking into account the physical nature of the space available, the design brief, and the kind of restoration work which is being undertaken, the design process is advanced through initial computer-modelling by means of appropriate design software; then to pre-fabrication of the components in our workshops to the final installation in-situ.

This is the process for all items supplied and all commission work undertaken; antique chimney pieces, modern chimney pieces with metal mantles, free-standing or wall-inset; as well as for the kitchen, chimney pieces incorporated in a fitted restaurant or home kitchen, and even bakery-style feature ovens.

Toppino's Laboratory undertakes a range of works: we carve various types of marble and other stone, we carry out works in iron, steel, copper, and brass; we produce cast iron backs and surrounds, we can undertake repairs to valuable and antique fireplaces, to the woodwork and brick of chimney pieces, and are able to repair glazed overmantles. Our workshops are also geared to producing pre-fabricated architectural elements where these may be required.
